I literally just did this 10 minutes ago so I don't exactly know if its free from viruses, but its an app built for x86 and the M1 is arm if that says something. While the installer's doing its thing, you're gonna have to wait in the system preferences > security > general tab, because it'll pop open another executable that you'll have to allow twice, I forgot what its called. Make sure to do it with wifi disabled, because if you don't it'll ping adobe servers when it opens after installing. dmg to right click and show package contents, then open the folder called MacOS and click the install command. My educated guess is that if you do a install like normal from the cloud on an M1 and on a Intel and then simply copy the App from the intel machine to the M1 it should work However this will be the intel version of Photoshop or whatever not the Universal Binary and will run through the Rossetta 2 translator (So will the below solutions) This has been untested but if that works we will be out of the woods until there is a Adobe Zii solution for Universal Binaries. What you are doing below is replace a solid install with an outdated version of the actual app which is not good practise. When you install and download from adobe it will install the universal app (Optimised for the M1) Adobe Zii simply ignores universal versions of adobe.
Seems by your comments I see what is going on here. Now obviously I'm waiting for my own machine so I can screw around. Interesting I'm getting my M1 tomorrow and I already tried to install Adobe on someone else's and couldn't do it.
